The Student Affairs Office of Harbin Institute of Technology (Weihai) is the functional department responsible for student affairs on the Weihai campus. It consists of the Education and Management Division, the Career Guidance Center, the Mental Health Center, and the Communist Youth League. Its main responsibilities include:
· Conducting students' daily ideological and political education.
· Managing, training, and evaluating counselors, as well as formulating development plans for class advisors.
· Establishing and improving the institutional framework for student affairs across the campus, while coordinating and guiding the work of individual schools.
· Overseeing students' daily management, disciplinary measures, scholarships, and awards.
· Providing financial assistance to students with economic difficulties.
· Promoting academic atmosphere, class development, and civilized dormitory construction.
· Delivering mental health education and related services for students.
· Organizing military theory courses, student military training, and conscription work.
· Offering career guidance and services for graduates.
· Ensuring students' safety and campus stability.
· Implementing the "one-stop" student community initiative.
· Building and leading the Communist Youth League, formulating its work plans, and ensuring their implementation.
· Guiding the Student Union, Graduate Student Union, and student associations.
· Supporting social practice, volunteer service, and campus cultural activities.
· Promoting innovation and entrepreneurship education.
· Collecting and addressing opinions from students and grassroots units to help resolve practical difficulties.
· Carrying out other tasks assigned by the campus.
