The Student Affairs Department / Youth League Committee consistently follows Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as its guiding principle. It regards cultivating socialist builders and successors as its fundamental mission, consolidating and expanding the youth support base for the Party as a political responsibility, and centering its work around "focusing on the core and serving the overall situation." Guided by General Secretary Xi Jinping's 2009 visit to the campus, where he emphasized "actively linking personal development with the future of the nation and its people" and "realizing the hopes of the nation and the people," the department thoroughly implements the spirit of national university ideological and political work meetings and the National Education Conference. Upholding political awareness, progressiveness, and mass orientation, and responding to youth ideological guidance, student development needs, and grassroots realities, the department has established seven offices: the Information & Integrated Office, Ideological & Political Education Office, Student Career Development Center, Mental Health Education Center, Student Financial Aid & Academic Development Center, Military Theory Teaching & Research Office, and the Student Innovation & Entrepreneurship Park. It strives to broaden work coverage, enhance student well-being, and improve outcomes, guiding young people to dare to dream, pursue their dreams, and realize them, in order to cultivate qualified socialist builders and reliable successors.
